:-) I'm perfectly happy to get mail from people I have bought stuff from, but none of it is urgent enough to make me willing to get "notifications" about it. Way too much noise, both from spam and from mail that I legitimately want but don't want right now. I don't, don't, DON'T want my roadrunner mail to come through the phone. Because I've been very selective about who knows that account, I get essentially zero spam on it.
None of that simple "Next" or "Previous" stuff, no sirree.Īnd EVERY time you do anything on the page, you get that damned wheel spinning around to let you know that there's no way you're going to be doing anything for a while.Īm I the only one this bugs? Or is anyone else beside me even using their webmail? When you're done with one message, you have to go back to the index to select the next one. Images is emails are blocked by default, which is a smart default, but as far as I can tell, there's no way to enable them. This means that just a few poorly behaved spammers will cause you to have to scroll from side to side just to see the date column. Likewise if one sender (doesn't have to be the same one) has a subject line the size of a complete book, the entire column is expanded to fit that too.
If one or more mail sending moron decides to send you a message with a sending "address" that is six miles long, the new webmail expands the column to show it all. Apparently they pulled the trigger this weekend, and it changed from a marginally useful system to one that's completely unusable. Spectrum has been threatening to convert their webmail over to a New! Improved! Webmail! for weeks now.
